Above my desk, I have a photo wall with these 9 photos. Â I use it to remind me what artists can really accomplish when they have the focus and determination to be great. Â I can’t say I can do anything in this life to match their accomplishments, but I can use the ideals from their success to make me a stronger and more focused artist.
I am privileged to live next door to Santee Lakes, which I have mentioned numerous times. Â It is a great place for walking, wildlife, and peace.
Christmas Eve Moonrise Joshua Tree is my newest image taken from my 9th consecutive year camping in Joshua Tree National Park.
Spending Christmas in Joshua Tree National Park is a personal tradition for me.  On that note, I will be out in the park on the 24th and 25th, so I am showing this image from last year’s Christmas morning in Joshua Tree.
Round Mountain Clearing Storm was the result of a November trip to East County San Diego when a storm was clearing.
I made this Santee Lakes Overlook December 20 image while celebrating the holidays with my daughter. Â She gave me about five minutes to head out my front door and make this image at sunset.
Photographing the Trinidad Sign at Simpson’s Rest was a lot of fun.  Each day spending the holidays with my family in Trinidad, Colorado, I climbed the City’s iconic overlook called Simpson’s Rest.  This bluff was named after an early resident named George Simpson.
Fishers Peak Sunset is another image I made this week from my parent’s home in Trinidad, Colorado.  The light was beautiful, and this was the last bit of light that existed before the evening.
I took this photograph a couple mornings ago while on Christmas vacation at my parent’s home.
I have used my last plastic shopping bag. Â As 2016 approaches, one of my goals is to stop using or allowing retailers to use plastic shopping bags for my groceries and items.
