I spent 4 weeks in Northern Utah, with a dash of Wyoming and Idaho.
I began by locating the gravesite of my 3rd great-grandfather, then enjoyed one of the best Autumn seasons of my life in the Wasatch Mountains. After the high passes were past peak, I focused on the extensive lower mountain canyons which remained beautiful.
An early snowstorm was a big surprise, and that made travel more challenging, but it was nice to enjoy the cold after many warm seasons in Southern California.
