September Morning At Hospitals Reef
My good friend Alex Kunz and I spent the morning visiting Hospitals Reef in La Jolla. Â This is one of the most popular sunset spots in San Diego.
On Labor Day, my Photo Club had an outing up on the observation of the California Tower, part of the Museum of Man.
My August 2016 Photo of the Month is GSD1. Â I made this image during the height of the monsoon season in Great Sand Dunes National Park.
My friend Alex Kunz took me to an awesome location near Stephenson Peak in the Laguna Mountains called Pinyon Point. Â Pinyon Pines are very rare, and this may be the only location in the Laguna Mountains. Â This is Alex’s post, which was his August Photo of the Month.
Glamis is well-known for off-highway vehicle hobbyists, but it can be a wonderful places for photographers as well.  My Friend Alex Kunz and I decided to go out and do an evening and night landscape photo shoot in East San Diego County and Imperial County.  This link will take you to Alex’s post on Pinyon Point in the Laguna Mountains.  Here is my Pinyon Point blog post.
My July 2016 Photo of the Month is East Wetlands Sunrise, a photo taken near the Colorado River’s Yuma Crossing.
I visited my Grandmother for the weekend and had a great time. Â July in Yuma is, of course, incredibly warm. Â We stayed inside most of the weekend, but she suggested we visit the Yuma East Wetlands early in the morning.
This month, construction has begun on Santee’s Castlerock Community (Update:Â Now called Weston). Â This area is just next to my home. Â I am just walking distance away, and I wanted the opportunity to photograph the hills above Santee before they were carved and changed forever.
My June 2016 Photo of the Month is Glow Above Ross Rock, an image made at Sunset Cliffs Natural Park in San Diego, California.
My May 2016 Photo of the Month is El Cajon Mountain Last Light, a photograph made in San Diego County.
