My friend Alex Kunz took me to an awesome location near Stephenson Peak in the Laguna Mountains called Pinyon Point. Pinyon Pines are very rare, and this may be the only location in the Laguna Mountains. This is Alex’s post, which was his August Photo of the Month.
Glamis is well-known for off-highway vehicle hobbyists, but it can be a wonderful places for photographers as well. My July 2016 Photo of the Month is East Wetlands Sunrise, a photo taken near the Colorado River’s Yuma Crossing.
I visited my Grandmother for the weekend and had a great time. July in Yuma is, of course, incredibly warm. We stayed inside most of the weekend, but she suggested we visit the Yuma East Wetlands early in the morning.
This month, construction has begun on Santee’s Castlerock Community (Update: Now called Weston). This area is just next to my home. I am just walking distance away, and I wanted the opportunity to photograph the hills above Santee before they were carved and changed forever.
