My July 2015 Photo of the Month is July Wonder, a photograph made at San Diego’s Sunset Cliffs Natural Park.
July Wonder Background
This was just another leisurely trip through Sunset Cliffs. The Summer can be busy, but also quite pleasant. The coast is often 20 degrees cooler than it is inland. Sunset Cliffs is a great place to cool down, walk a little, reflect, and ultimately, make some nice images.
While the prevailing monsoons of the Southwest aren’t as dramatic in San Diego as they are in Arizona, they can still be nice. These high beautiful clouds were all that was needed to bring some really nice color.
As it turned out, this would be my only real outing making landscape images in July. I spent much of the month with my daughter and preparing for a very large conference that began at the end of the month. Sometimes, the trips that are few have the best impact.
My travels in August will take me to Michigan and back to Southern California. If the weather continues like this, there should be no shortage of beautiful evenings to enjoy.
As always, thank you very much for reading, and I hope you enjoy the image.
