This time of year, the Ribbonwood Tree, Adenostoma sparsifolium, has a beautiful gold color as its flowers wilt. This is the sort of strange but very cool Fall color season you can see in chaparral country. You don’t need to chase Aspens and Cottonwoods if you look for others near where you live.
