Location: Sunset Cliffs Natural Park, San Diego, California
This image was taken on a hot, muggy, September evening at Sunset Cliffs Natural Park. I had taken a number of short bursts, and the images were nice. I wanted to try something more contemplative, so I used my 9-stop neutral density filter that allowed me to capture this image over the course of one minute.
Doing so smoothed out the waves, and the reflections looked like mere ghosts or suggestions of the moving clouds above.
Sunset Cliffs was especially busy for a weekday evening, but with the hot weather and incredible clouds during the week, many people were out. Just to my right, about 20 teenagers stood at the edge, contemplating diving into the ocean below (not recommended).
I hope everybody enjoys this image.
