Windansea PoolPhotographed: 2016 Location: Windansea Beach, San Diego, California This was taken on a quick trip to Windansea with my friend Alex Kunz. The beach was super busy, it was warm and hazy, but some nice monsoonal moisture came in near sunset. This was one of the many small pools that could be found after low tide.
Glowing Cross
Mt Soledad SunsetPhotographed: 2016 The Mt Soledad National Veterans Memorial is an amazing memorial for local veterans who have served the United States in our Armed Forces. The cross at the top has definitely been a source of controversy over the years. While there needs to be better division of church and state as well as more inclusion, the memorial itself is amazing, solemn, and a great place for a beautiful view of San Diego.
Rest Before SunsetPhotographed: 2013 A seal rests on a La Jolla rock outcropping just as the sun is setting. Seals in La Jolla have been a controversial topic for many years, particularly for their use of the Children's Pool. This seal is resting near La Jolla Cove. His or her ancestors enjoyed these nights for millenia before humans hunted and developed nearly every spot they needed to survive. This seal deserves some peace, good rest, and a good future.
