Located in North Coyote Buttes, this area has a lot of amazing eroded redrock.  This image was made at last light in the area.  The rock reflected a brilliant orange as the sun receded.

It was cold with snow throughout the area and the hike back to the car in the dark was tough, but it was well worth it.  The area is accessed by a lightly-maintained high clearance road, and includes a trail-less hike to the area.  A special-use permit is required to access the area, and a lottery is used to provide the permits.

I have been to the area several times because there are so many unique formations to photograph.
